The upcoming sci-fi action film "Meg 2: The Trench", adapted from Steve Alten's novel "The Trench" (1999), is a sequel to "The Meg" (2018). The film is directed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, and Dean Georgaris, starring Jason Statham, Wu Jing, Page Kennedy, Sienna Guillory, Cliff Curtis, Skyler Samuels, Sophia Cai, and Sergio Peris-Mencheta.

In "Meg 2", Jason and Jin lead a daring research team to explore the deepest part of the ocean to investigate new creatures. However, when they are caught in a high-risk battle for survival against giant Megs and monsters with huge tentacles, can they emerge victorious?
