As one of the teams providing visual effects for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," Framestore has released a VFX breakdown that reveals how they made the furry Rocket Raccoon along with some other CG characters.
Framestore provided 1200 shots for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3". In Vol. 3, Rocket Raccoon undergoes changes in terms of age, physique, and mentality. Framestore expressed these changes through subtle animations. Additionally, they created another outstanding CG character, the space dog Cosmo. Instead of infusing human emotions into Cosmo, the team portrayed rich dog emotions by observing real dogs' emotions and movements, incorporating realistic details.
