Render Guide

There are 2 steps in KeyShot Rendering:

Step 1: Save Package

Step 2: Render Task Web-submission

Note: Please do not use special characters in the file name and path.

 

Step 1: Save Package

1.     Open the .bip file.

2.     To save a .ksp, select File, Save package… from the KeyShot menu.

3.     Choose the folder where you want to save your package file.

4.     Wait until the packaging is finished.

5.     To open the package file, select File, Open… from the KeyShot menu.

6.     To open the package file that you just saved, choose the file to open it.

7.     A prompt will appear and press Keep files in a single folder option.

8.     Create a new folder and choose the folder to save.

9.     KeyShot will extract all the files (necessary elements) from the package file to this folder. The next step is to upload this folder to the our Fox Renderfarm server.

Step 2: Render Task Web-submission

1.     Click “Nuke Render”

 2.     Click “Create New Project”, input the project name and select the render system (Windows or Linux), then press “Next”.

 3.     Click “Upload folder” to upload your scene folder.

4.     Download and install the plugin for the browser.

5.     Refresh the page, click “Upload folder” again. All file path on Fox Renderfarm storage will be the same as your local path, including drives.

 

Attention:         Do not use A, B, C & D drive if you are using absolute path in your scene files.    

                          The use of IP path of your file, such as \\192.168.0.2\..\\computer name\.. is not supported.

Example:        The whole project path on the local path is: F:\keyshot, after the uploading is finished, refresh the page and the path on storage will also be: F:\keyshot.

6.     Refresh the website when the uploading is done.

Step 3: Submit render task

 

1.   Tick your scene file, then click “Next”.

2.   Configure the render software and plugin, fill in the pre-rendering parameters.


Input Parameters:

i.      Render setting: You have to configure KeyShot software version and plugins (if any) before rendering

ii.     Priority Render: If you want to check the effect earlier, you can set here, and we will supply up to three machines to render the priority frames.

3.   The task which is successfully submitted with be shown in the “Running Task” list. The current status of all running task can be seen and wait for the analysis and rendering to be completed.

4.   After a couple minutes, the analysis process will be finished, then the user can refresh the web page to monitor where the file is analyzed. If everything goes well, there will be a "Render" button at the right side of the analysed task, by clicking the "Render" button, the scene file will officially be submitted into final rendering, the system will assign render node to render this scene file now. Set the relevant parameters. (Tips: The size and format of the output images need to be set)

Step 4: Download your completed task

 1.     Tick your task which you wish to download, then click “Download”.

2.     Set the path that you wish your output files to be downloaded, then click “OK”.
